At AFFCO, our team is dedicated to identifying new markets and opportunities to enable is to maximise head to tail utilisation. We process a range of high quality allied products tailored to specific markets and contracts. These include leather, hides, protein meals, blood serums, bone meal and dried blood for poultry feed, tallow for soaps and cosmetics, lamb casings for European sausages and wool for carpet.
AFFCO’s bovine blood serums are globally recognised and renowned for their purity and disease-free status. They are an increasingly important product. They are used to make pharmaceutical products, including therapeutics, vaccines and diagnostics. They are also used for international research.
AFFCO has two tanning locations in New Zealand – one in Napier and the other in Wiri, Auckland. These sites produce the finest premium leathers which are used in New Zealand and internationally to produce high quality products for the fashion, automobile, upholstery and aviation industries.
AFFCO's subsidiary company Renco New Zealand produce Rennet, Lipase and Pancreatin and natural plant food colour (annatto). RENCO NATURAL enzymes are globally recognised for their high quality and performance. RENCO have been in the industry for over 100 years.
